Facts:Henry Beben lost control of his vehicle in a parking lot and struck a parked vehicle occupied by Lucille Holmes. The impact shoved plaintiff's vehicle over a curb, through a fence and into a ditch. The air bags in plaintiff's vehicle deployed and caused the plaintiff damage to both of her eyes.
Injury/Damages:The plaintiff had a pre-existing condition known as Graves Disease as a result of a thyroid disorder (bulging eyes). The accident caused severe corneal abrasions, retinal swelling and permanently paralyzed the pupil in her left eye. As a result of the corneal abrasions she suffered traumatic cataracts in both eyes, which were operated on approximately a year after the accident.
